In related news, WVU can celebrate being part of something significant and historic tonight. The Mountaineers put on a shooting clinic, going 1-22 from three point range and scoring nearly half (18) of its [very few] points on free throws.

The announcers [for ESPN 2] summed WVU’s performance up by calling it “the worst shooting effort in history.”

Example of WVU’s shooting against Cincinnati.

Congratulations are due to Huggie-Bear and the hoopies for their great accomplishment. I think I smell couches burning…

Update (1/31/08 6:09 pm): After further investigation, a cause has been found for the hoopies’ horrendous shooting night. Can you imagine seeing this calling your plays all night?!

Ill admit the Huggins outfit was even more dissappointing than the 4% 3 point percentage (1 of 22) or the 20% from the field..

Don’t worry, WVU_ftw, the miserable failures of Penn St. will be archived as well. Though the greatest failure at Penn St. is that they failed to bury the body of their football coach after he died 10 years ago…
